Heading into Game 3 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Miami Heat, the Philadelphia 76ers will be keeping a close eye on the injury status of Joel Embiid and Robert Covington.
Embiid, Philadelphia's All-Star center, has been dealing with a left knee injury that has kept him out of the past two games. Covington, a starting forward, is nursing a right knee injury that has limited him to just 17 minutes in the series.
The 76ers are hoping that both players will be able to return for Game 3, which is scheduled for Friday night in Philadelphia. However, Embiid and Covington are both listed as questionable on the team's injury report.
If Embiid and Covington are unable to play, the 76ers would be without two of their most important players. Embiid is the team's leading scorer and rebounder, while Covington is one of their best defenders.
The Heat have a 1-1 lead in the series after winning Game 2 in Philadelphia on Tuesday night. Game 3 is scheduled for Friday night at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
